Hi, I’m Mariëlle, the Dutch owner of Villa Friluftsliv. A few years ago, I followed a long-held dream and bought a little red cabin surrounded by forest in the Swedish countryside. What started as an adventurous idea slowly grew into a place that feels like a true home away from home.

Hi, I’m Mariëlle, the Dutch owner of Villa Friluftsliv. A few years ago, I followed a long-held dream and bought a little red cabin surrounded by forest in the Swedish countryside. What started as an adventurous idea slowly grew into a place that feels like a true home away from home.
Together with my boyfriend, family and friends, I lovingly renovated the cottage from the inside out, combining its authentic Swedish character with modern comfort and quiet luxury. Villa Friluftsliv is where I go to slow down, spend time outdoors and appreciate the simple things. From morning coffee on the veranda to long forest walks and evenings by the fire.
